Dr. Michelle Greene

Michelle Greene, a resident of Georgetown, South Carolina, is the fifth of ten children born unto Mrs. Trudie Greene Trappier and the late Daniel Blunt. A product of Georgetown County School District, she graduated from Winyah High School in 1980 and in 1981 began to pursue her undergraduate studies at Allen University in Columbia, South Carolina, where she reigned as Miss Allen University in 1985. Her educational career includes the following: English aide and teacher at Georgetown High School, alumna with a Masters Degree in Secondary Administration/Supervision and later an Educational Specialist degree in Educational Leadership and Supervision from The Citadel. In 2000, she became the assistant principal at Andrews High School and subsequently the principal in 2004; she completed her Doctor of Education degree at South Carolina State University in May 2011.

            Apart from her scholastic interests, Michelle is actively involved in the church and community. She is a member of Abundant Harvest Family Fellowship Church where she worships and exercises her calling as a minister and Church School Superintendent. She works in the community as a youth advocate and serves as chaplain of the Georgetown Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated. She enjoys working with young people in various ways: a devoted tutor, mentor, and facilitator. She believes that the children are our future; therefore, she spends countless hours encouraging and talking to students about their future plans and about securing their future goals and aspirations.
