2015 Academic Fair is Successful

Large School winners in this year’s Georgetown County School District Academic Fair, which was held January 24 at Georgetown Middle School, were: Grades 3 and 4, Kensington Elementary; and Grade 5, Waccamaw Intermediate.

Small School winners were: Grades 3 and 4, Pleasant Hill Elementary; and Grade 5, Coastal Montessori Charter.

In the sixth grade competition, Waccamaw Intermediate was the winner.

Second-place team finishers in the Large School division were: Grades 3 and 4, Waccamaw Elementary and Waccamaw Intermediate; and Grade 5, Kensington and McDonald elementary schools tied.

Second-place team finishers in the Small School division were: Grades 3 and 4, Sampit Elementary; and Grade 5, Pleasant Hill Elementary.

Finishing second in the sixth grade competition was Georgetown Middle.

Finishing in third place in the Large School competition were: Grades 3 and 4, McDonald Elementary; and Grade 5, Maryville Elementary.

Finishing in third place in the Small School competition were: Grades 3 and 4, Coastal Montessori Charter; and Grade 5, Sampit Elementary.

Finishing in a tie for third place in the sixth grade competition were Carvers Bay Middle and Coastal Montessori Charter.
