CBHS Robotics Team earns trip to Nationals

Carvers Bay High Robotics Team wins “Rookie All-Star” Team of the Year

The newly formed robotics team of Carvers Bay High School -- CB Bearbots Team #6167 -- attended the Palmetto Region FIRST Robotics Competition on February 25-27 at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center and took home the “Rookie All-Star” Team of the Year. Team #6167 ranked 44 out of 64 teams at the event which was a good showing for a first-year team.

The team consisted of nine mentors: Dr. Harry Weatherford, Lanard Stafford, James Rice, Fred Davis, Krystal Davis, Joanna Price, Stephan Dukes, Terry Cox, and Vernetta Dekine.

The team consisted of nine member: Johnathan Weatherford, Benjamin Mitchell, Kevin Price, Ryan Dean, Cornell Williams, Dakota Grate, Jada Jiles, Armani Sumpter, and Floyd Castle.

As Rookie Team of the Year, the team is eligible for and will attend the Championship Event in St. Louis, Mo. on April 27-30.
