Lee named Teacher of the Year

Ashton Lee, a Waccamaw Middle School seventh grade Social Studies teacher, was named Georgetown County School District 2016-2017 Teacher of the Year at a banquet Tuesday, May 10, at Litchfield Beach and Golf Resort.
 
Other finalists were:
 
Kevin J. Ferry, Georgetown High,  Physical Science Honors and Biology;
Bailey Bull Dozier, Kensington Elementary, Kindergarten;
Brandi King, Rosemary Middle, 8th grade Algebra I, 8th grade Math, 7th grade Pre-Algebra;
Brad Kibler, Waccamaw High, AP World History, US History Honors, US History CP.
