Kensington Elementary Principal Jamie Thompkins is the winner of this year’s South Carolina “Administrator With Heart Award.”

The award is sponsored by the South Carolina Association of Health, Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance (SCAHPERD) and the American Heart Association (AHA).   The award is presented annually to one administrator in South Carolina who has promoted and supported his/her school's Jump Rope For Heart (JRFH) or Hoops For Heart Program in an exemplary manner.

For the 2015-16 school year 67 South Carolina administrators were nominated for this prestigious award.  Thompkins was nominated by Dennis Brachna, the KES JRFH Coordinator.   Thompkins was presented the award at an outdoor school assembly after the school was recognized as a "Cool School" by Channel 2.

Congratulations!
