The Dictionary Project was started as a collaborative project of the five Georgetown County Rotary Clubs (Andrews, Georgetown, Georgetown Breakfast, Murrells Inlet and Pawleys Island) in 1999 to provide all third graders in the county with a dictionary.  Since that time more than 14,000 dictionaries have been distributed.
