Georgetown County School District’s annual Academic Fair – held January 21 at Georgetown Middle School – allowed students to showcase their skills and knowledge.

Georgetown Middle won the Grade 6 competition. Waccamaw Intermediate won in the Grade 5 Large Schools division. Pleasant Hill Elementary and Coastal Montessori Charter tied for first in Grade 5 Small Schools. In Grades 3 and 4 Large Schools, Waccamaw Intermediate and Waccamaw Elementary won. Brown’s Ferry and Pleasant Hill elementary schools tied for first in the Grades 3 and 4 Small Schools division.

Waccamaw Intermediate finished second among Grade 6 schools. Kensington Elementary was second in the Grade 5 Large Schools division while Sampit Elementary was second in Grade 5 Small Schools. Finishing in a tie for second among Grades 3 and 4 Large Schools were Maryville and McDonald elementary schools. Coastal Montessori Charter was second in Grades 3 and 4 Small Schools.

Carvers Bay Middle School finished third in Grade 6 competition. Andrews Elementary was third in the Grade 5 Large Schools division, while Brown’s Ferry Elementary was third among Grade 5 Small Schools. Finishing third in Grades 3 and 4 Large Schools was Kensington Elementary. Sampit Elementary was third in the Grades 3 and 4 Small Schools division.
